Affiliate marketing, also known as performance based marketing, is an excellent work at home opportunity. Through the creation of one or more websites, or through pay-per-click campaigns, you could be on the path to self employment and financial freedom.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is described as revenue sharing between an on-line merchant and an affiliate, otherwise known as an advertiser. The affiliate runs merchant ads on his or her website, through pay-per-click programs, or through opt-in newsletters. The affiliate receives commission for any traffic generated from their links which convert into sales. Commissions are paid by the merchant and generally run 5 to 20%, but can be as high as 50% or more per sale!

What do I have to do?

The value an affiliate marketer brings is his or her ability to drive targeted traffic to a merchant's website. This can be achieved in a number of different ways, for example: an affiliate could post ads or banners on a website of theirs, they could setup a pay-per-click promotion, or they could post ads in an opt-in newsletter.

How much can I make with affiliate marketing?

The amount of money you make with affiliate marketing is equal to the amount of time and effort you put into it. The sky is the limit when it comes to affiliate marketing. I personally know affiliate marketers who make $12,000 per month - that's $144,000 per year! They're now looking to hire employees who will help them earn even more.

Do I have to quit my day job?

Nope! You can work at your own pace, whether it's after work, on weekends, or days off. You choose your hours and decide how much you want to accomplish. But remember, how much you make from affiliate marketing is equal to how much time and effort you put into it.

Do I need to know HTML?

Nope! You do not have to know HTML or any other programming language. There are services available which allow non-programmers to setup websites with ease (Site Build It!). That said, it is good to know a little HTML, but you'll pick this up fast - it's easy!

Do I have to handle any merchandise?

Nope! The merchant handles all of the merchandise. All you do is provide the merchant with targeted traffic through the use of text or banner advertisements.

How do I get started?

You've already started! Just by reading the above FAQs you now know much more about affiliate marketing than most people. In fact you'll be surprised to know that very few people know about affiliate marketing and the potential it has to create a limitless source of income.
